In 2019, if you were to ask me if I wanted to do another half marathon next year, my answer would 100% be a yes. With all the excitement, anxiety, and a big audience, completing the Princeton half marathon was one of the most rewarding things that I’ve ever done in my life.
Due to the current pandemic, the future of the SAT is being threatened. The on-going quarantine has opened up a window of inspection for the real purpose of SAT scores in college applications. As of right now, since many people are uncomfortable going out to attend test sessions, plenty of colleges have turned the requirement of standardized test scores into an optional choice or have gone “test-blind”.
On Tuesday, January 19, the College Board announced the discontinuation of both its optional SAT essay and its SAT subject tests. The board also revealed their plans for a “streamlined, digitally delivered” SAT test. Both changes came after several months of test cancellations and adamant frustration regarding adherence to Covid-19 protocols at testing sites.
Imagine a typical action movie. Now picture that movie set in ISIS-controlled Iraq, a brutal war enduring between the terrorist organization and a small band of Iraqi SWAT fighters. Now imagine that this team is full of interesting, unique, and sympathetic characters, each with his own strengths and weaknesses.
About thirteen minutes away for West Windsor residents and five minutes away for Plainsboro residents resides a new Japanese restaurant, Sumi Ramen, which serves a variety of meals including all types of ramen, sushi, soups and salads, rice dishes, and deserts.
Hopefully the lows bounce back, and finish strong, while the highs look to continue their amazing runs. Anything can happen in these next few weeks.
On December 6th, Attack on Titan: The Final Season’s first episode was released, effectively breaking the internet in the process. The final season has been long anticipated for the past two months, when the trailer dropped and set fans into a frenzy. With such high expectations, it is no surprise that there have been a number of changes to the show itself, both in production and in storyline.
The Thespian Society includes the “Bang Bang You’re Dead” production, the Improv Club, while also sponsoring the Fall Drama. The students of the Thespian Society have worked hard year after year to put on incredibly well delivered performances for our student body.
Model United Nations (MUN), one of North’s most established and prominent clubs, consists of over 70 kids who are passionate about public speaking, international relations, and politics. Due to the new virtual instruction during this pandemic, MUN’s officers have been faced with numerous challenges that threaten the functionality of their club.
The South Asian American Student Association, more commonly known as SAASA, is one of High School North’s most populous clubs. Every Memorial Day weekend, 300 students from all different ethnicities come together to put on performances showcasing a year’s worth of effort and practice.
After flattening the curve significantly towards the end of the summer, New Jersey is once again witnessing a drastic uptick in the number of COVID-19 cases with about 5,032 new positive ones each day. Cases in New Jersey have been fluctuating since March 13th, but over the months we saw a steady decrease in new cases each day.
